Nearly 25% (733) of the approx. 3,000 new tractors registered in the UK in the first three months of this year were in the 161-200hp power band.
Latest AEA figures show that registrations grew in all power bands apart from the 320hp+ and bottom 51-100hp ranges, both of which saw declines of between 14% and 15%.
All other broad power ranges saw substantial year-on-year growth, with the fastest rise being for 241-320hp tractors, which accounted for 305 units and 10.2% of the total market. This number was also 87% higher than in the first three months of 2024.
Two other stand outs were the 141-160hp and 201-240hp power bands, which accounted for 541 (18.1%) and 446 (14.9%) units, respectively.
Incidentally, the 2,992 new tractors registered from January to March was up by more than a third on the same three months in 2025 when the AEA recorded 2,228 units.
