Designed for intensive seedbed preparation even in very difficult and stony soil conditions, Horsch’s Express 3 KR power harrow and drill combination will be shown to the public for the first time next month at Tillage Live. The drill technology on the 3m-mounted machine, including the TurboDisc 2 seed coulters, comes directly from 2015 Pronto versions. Four rubber dampers per coulter transfer a pressure of up to 120kg, and the seed coulters can be lifted completely on the hydraulic rams allowing the Kredo rotary harrow to work on its own or even uncoupled completely from the drill via four fixing points. The hydraulic rams to control working and sowing depth are adjusted from the tractor cab, and the drill is controlled via the company’s ISOBUS compatible terminal. The 1,500-litre seed hopper is located close to the tractor, and the company says tractors from 150hp can handle the machine with ease. Available in working widths of 3m, 3.5m and 4m, all can be fitted with different packer options.
