An ISObus retrofit kit is now available for numerous new and used Kuhn mowers not fitted with the system during the build process.
Expected to prove popular with users wanting to improve functionality, without going to the expense of buying a new set of ISObus mowers, ISObus functions include setting and modifying headland turn sequences; adjusting the suspension system on the mowers to suit ground conditions; operating automatic section control to raise and lower each mowing unit to avoid contact with already cut crop; along with precise area counters and single button operation of folding and unfolding sequences.
Working directly through the tractor’s existing terminal, or via Kuhn’s external CCI 60, CCI 800 and CCI 1200 ISObus displays, all three terminals are transferable between tractors and are compatible with a wide selection of ISObus machines from different manufactures. Operators requiring further customisation can choose a CCI A3 touchscreen joystick to house all machine functions in one place.
“Users who’ve purchased non-ISObus new or second-hand mowers can retrofit an industry standard system to quickly and easily adjust settings from a single terminal,” comments Sam Alford, Kuhn Farm Machinery’s grassland product specialist.
“The upgrade kit will also appeal to dealers stocking used, non-ISObus mowers, as retrofitting these models with ISObus capabilities adds significant value, making them more attractive to prospective buyers requiring the functionality on a used budget.”
Compatible Kuhn mowers for the kit include model year 2026 GMD 9530+, GMD 9530 RV, FC 9530D+ and FC10030+D. It can also be fitted to model year 2027 GMD 9530+ and GMD 10030+; FC 9530+ DR; FC 8830+ DR and FC 10030+ DR. The retrofit kit costs £5,060 and installation takes around three hours.
