Following its acquisition of WRAG post-drivers in March last year, Kidd Farm Machinery has added the Bushpig wire unroller to its portfolio at LAMMA today.

As a front linkage mounted machine it can carry up to 1000m of standard stocknet or 400m of deer fence. Every imaginable function is controlled hydraulically from wire clamping and tensioning to side-shift and head-tilt. The wire clamp even has an integrated up-and-over hinge arrangement that means the operator no longer has to shoulder the heavy steel press bar – it simply swings up and out of the way.

In addition to dealing with net, the machine also has an integrated barbed wire unroller that can handle up to five spools at once.

With all its sliding framework and hydraulic components, the Bushpig is a heavy-built rig weighing in at over 1.3 tonnes – an ideal counterweight for a beefy rear-mounted post-bumper. It’s got an equally impressive price tag to match – the base model comes in at just north of £17,000.
