The new front knife roller option for Amazone’s Cirrus 6003-2 folding trailed cultivator drill provides additional crumbling on cloddy soils and intensive shredding of surface crop residues.

Also claimed to reduce the number of passes and result in even crop emergence, the central enclosed roller core with its chevron knife chops cover crops and tall stubbles at right angles to the direction of travel. On maize stubbles, it is said to save an additional run with a mulcher, roller or disc harrow.

The roller bearing mounts and knives are made from Boron steel, and the chevron blade arrangement is said to prevent lateral pull. Individual segments ensure that the knives operate evenly over the full working width, even on undulating ground.

The knife roller is maintenance-free and the reversible blades are sharpened on both sides.
