With no prospect of improvement in the international market for agricultural machinery, Kongskilde Industries has decided to transfer production from Sonderborg, Denmark, to its Polish factory. Part of a planned transition and cost saving measure to make Kongskilde more profitable for the DLG Group, in the future a number of grass product lines and key products such as feeders will be produced in Poland. “We have come far in the turnaround process but we see a significant opportunity for improvement by shifting production from Sonderborg to Poland where we have a more modern factory and the possibility of lean production,” says Kongskilde CEO Ole Gade.
