Claimed as the world’s first fully electric skid steer loader, the Elise 900 offers a maximum lift capacity of 1.4t.
Made in the Czech Republic by Kovaco Electric, the standard 240Ah battery provides up to six hours of continuous operation with one charge.
The optional 400Ah battery not only increases this to eight hours, but also provides 1.4t of lift capacity (standard battery 900kg). Both batteries can be fully charged in 3.5 hours.
The Elise 900 can be driven manually from inside the cab using the joysticks. Alternatively, it is supplied as standard with a smart phone onto which an app is downloaded to operate it remotely (radius up to 15.0m). This same smart phone will also work as a ‘dashboard’ in the cab. There is also the option of a “Hiab” type remote that has twin joysticks and a control screen with an operating radius of 50.0m.
Main features include a high chassis clearance, a hydraulically-operated self-levelling system with gyro-sensors and a tilt angle of 47 degrees. The service costs are minimal, claims Kovaco Electric UK.
The wide range of boom mounted implements available for the Elise includes buckets, concrete mixers, muck grabs, post hole drivers, log grabs and sweepers.
