Kramer has added a brace of new ag-spec telehandlers to its line-up of machines being sold through John Deere dealers.

The first is the KT407, which is a relatively compact machine capable of lifting 4m and extending to 7m.  Previously, the maker didn’t have a machine in this category, but by adding a larger counterweight to its KT357 model it’s been able to eke out an extra half tonne of lift capacity.

Power comes from a four-cylinder Deutz engine that develops 136hp and there’s a three-speed hydrostatic transmission.

In a similar vein, the German maker has down-rated its 5.5t machine to create a 4.2t, 9m handler specifically for straw contractors. It’s called the KT429 and was achieved by fitting a smaller engine and transmission, lighter axles and removing the counterweight.

There’s also a new four-wheel-steer telescopic wheel loader on the way, which will be available in the spring. This is called the KL55.8T and has a 5.5t tipping load.
