New 6m and 7m Performer versions have been added to Kuhn’s popular range of non-powered, deep tine-disc cultivators. Joining the existing 4m and 5m line-up launched in 2013, the two new hydraulically-folding models are suitable for use with tractors from 360 to 700hp. Both versions use twin independent disc gangs, four rows of tines, levelling discs and the latest 700mm diameter HD-Liner roller. Working to a depth of 10cm, the disc gangs function independently of each other and comprise 510mm diameter serrated discs. The firm says the 560mm under-beam clearance allows for free flow of crop residues. The four rows of tines (35cm working depth) have 280mm of inter-tine spacing and 850mm under-beam clearance. Levelling discs are mounted on curved arms and there are height adjustable border discs.
Notched for better rotation, the HD-Liner roller provides 225kg/m of downward pressure. The roller can be lifted out of work when not required, for example when carrying out non-consolidation work. Fitted with a 900kg adjustable non-stop hydraulic tine safety system, the Performer can also be used in conjunction with Kuhn’s SH 600 seed drill for establishing oilseed rape and cover crops.
