The Fortis Silage Compactor has been proving a hit for Bristol-based Taylor Attachments in Scandinavia. There are two working widths, 3.0m and 3.5m but other bespoke sizes are possible. While the drum measures 914mm in diameter, the outer rings are 1,258mm. Three baffles prevent the water ballast from sloshing left to right, when filled, the weight of the 3.0m version increases from 2.4t to 4.4t.
It can be loader or tractor linkage mounted. Standard features include parking stands and nylon edge rollers on the frame. Prices start from £11,500.
