J Brock and Son was showing a couple of cultivators from Farmet which it has been importing since 2015. The 12.5m Fantom 1250 Classic only comes in one width due to the axle position while the Pro Variant spans 6.5-12.5m.

Key differences are five rows of tines on the Pro instead of four and it uses depth wheels to help carry the machine and applies pressure to the packer of which there are several options. The Classic turns on the packer which salesman Ray Francis points out is an advantage for the wider machines.

There is the option of a levelling board which can be used not only to knock lumps in previously cultivated ground but also spread out straw. Max tine working depth is 150mm and you can swap the straight point for an A share by simply knocking out a roll pin. Price for the pictured machine is £93,000 and you will need 500hp up from while the 650 Pro needs 280hp plus and has a price tag in the high 40s.
