Strong growth during the second half of last year (35% increase in Q4 turnover to €432 million) helped Manitou to achieve end of year total sales of around €1.6 billion.
An increase of 19% on 2016, Manitou president and CEO Michel Denis says development was recorded in all geographical regions, and driven by Europe and North America, the construction sector has seen the liveliest growth. “Our new range of telehandlers has enjoyed even greater success in the agricultural sector and enabled us to strengthen our position in a market that is once again buoyant.”
Manitou closed 2017 with an order book at record levels of €700 million (double that at the end of 2016), and for 2018 the company expects to further increase sales by around 10%.
