Massey Ferguson has launched two new 1M series compact tractors. The first two models; the 1M.20 (20hp) and 1M.25 (25hp), replace the current 1520 and 1525, respectively.

Supporting the same family styling as the firm’s larger tractors, the three-pot motor is mated to a new, nine-speed transmission in the 1M.20 (replaces the previous eight-speed version). The box in the 25hp model is hydrostatic.

The 1M.25 is available with an optional factory-fitted cab. This is equipped with a dedicated joystick to control the hydraulic spools. With LED work lights front and rear (standard), the equipment list also includes air conditioning, heating, a rear wiper with an intermittent setting, and an electric rear window demister.

Rear lift capacity of the 1M.25 is up from 600kg to 900kg.The 1M.20 retains the same 600kg lift capacity (900kg optional) of the 1520. Other updates include enhanced controls, a mid-PTO, external PTO controls, more lighting options and new cutter decks. Both tractors feature an adjustable steering wheel. Top speed of the 1M.20 is 20km/hr (26km/hr for the 1M.25).
