Quoting precise figures is difficult but Kubota accounted for approx. 8,800 new 50hp+ tractors in mainland Europe last year.
Down on the approx. 9,200 units in 2023, there were no top three spots for the brand in Europe in 2024. However, the brand did secure fourth position in the overall standings in the two largest markets of France and Germany.
Kubota registered 2,774 (-1.6%) new tractors in the number one market of France (33,325 units) in 2024, but increased its market share to 8.3% (7.9% in 2023). The brand registered 6.4% more new tractors in Germany, accounting for 2,104 units of the total market of 29,315 and a share of 7.2% (6.5% in 2023).
Kubota also registered 4.6% fewer new tractors in the third largest market of Italy, but the 925 units gave it eighth position and a 6.0% (5.5% in 2023) share of the 15,448-strong market.
When the three big markets are added together then Kubota recorded 5,803 units (5,688 in 2023 and 5,766 in 2023) and fifth place behind Agco, CNH, John Deere and SDF.
Kubota also lost ground and market share in the buoyant 10,390-strong Spanish market, registering 10.3% less new tractors and a total of 443 units (494 in 2023).
Bright spots for Kubota in Europe in 2024 were Norway and Sweden, and the 149 units it registered in Bulgaria secured second spot and an 11.8% share of the total market of 1,260 units.
