Sitting between the Fastrac 4000 and 8000 is the new from the ground up 6000 with two models; the 6260 and 6300. But this new addition to the Fastrac family marks a shift away from the Agco Power engine and Vario CVT used in the other two ranges, in their place is an FPT motor and ZF stepless box.
The 6.7-litre, NEF six cylinder provides up to 335hp in the 6300 with 1,400Nm of torque. The smaller 6260 making do with 284hp. JCB have gone with ZF’s Eccom 3.1 stepless transmission with a top speed of 66km/hr, a more relaxed 40km/hr is reached at 1,275rpm. But the engineers have put an even greater emphasis on in-field performance with these new more powerful equal wheel tractors.

Not only does is there a central tyre pressure control system that allows it to go from 1 to 2 bar in less than five minutes, you can also fit VF 650/65 R38s or 710/55 R38 rubber. It does use the same hydro-pneumatic suspension setup as the Fastrac 4000, along with the same cab frame and furniture with a slight rework. In saying that, the roof has fresh styling to accommodate a new 360 degree lighting package and integrated GPS receivers.
