Home Grown Talent is about recognising, supporting and rewarding young people who want to be part of the agricultural industry but are unsure about the path they would like to take in this early stage of their career development. A joint initiative between Massey Ferguson and the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC), it is open to members aged between 10 and 16 who are keen to pursue a career in agriculture. The two winners (one male and one female) will each be offered the opportunity to become a Home Grown Talent Ambassador, and follow a tailored programme to learn more about the agricultural industry and hopefully give them an idea about what they would like to do in the future. Included in the programme for the two winners will be a trip to MF’s factory in Beauvais, France, for you and a parent/guardian, and work experience and activities within the company. These will be held during school holidays (area of work to be agreed between both parties). There is also an expenses paid trip to an agriculture/trade show with MF for you and a parent/guardian. If you think you’ve got what it takes then the application form can be downloaded from both Massey Ferguson and NFYFC websites. Applications must be received no later than Monday 1, June 2015. The winners will be announced in June 2015, and will appear in publicity by Massey Ferguson and NFYFC in relation to the Home Grown Talent project.
