New Kuhn grass machines heading to ScotGrass

Kuhn Farm Machinery is bringing the new FC 3125 DF-FF front-mounted disc mower conditioner to next month’s ScotGrass event. With a 3.10m working width, the 3125 uses a re-designed twin-linkage headstock and shark fin inspired-design which houses a suspension set-up enabling the mower to oscillate at angles of up to 30 degrees. Kuhn says this improved ground contouring capability prevents crop contamination and preserves the quality of the remaining grass sward. The fully-mounted GA 6501 P twin rotor centre delivery Gyrorake is also heading to ScotGrass. With a variable working width of 5.55 to 6.40m, the width of the central windrow can be adjusted between 1 and 2m and is formed by two 2.65m diameter rotors, each of which are equipped with 10 tines arms and three tines per arm. Sitting alongside the existing range of semi-mounted Gyrorakes the 6501 is the company’s first twin-rotor rake to be made available in a fully mounted format. The latest version of the fixed chamber round baler-wrapper combination – the FBP 3135 BalePack – will also be at ScotGrass. Available with two different intake rotors (OptiCut 14 or OptiCut 23), the FBP uses the IntelliWrap system, which uses vertically mounted film pre-stretchers to prevent grass being deposited between layers of film. ScotGrass will take place at SRUC Acrehead, Dumfries on May 18. B
