Strong demand for Apollo Vredestein Traxion XL tractor tyres in Europe and North America is behind the installation of a new tyre press at the Enschede factory in the Netherlands.
The new 104″ (2.6m) press will mainly produce tyres for the XL (up to 2.30m diameter and 550kg) segment for tractors from 200hp to 500hp.
Representing a significant increase in capacity for this category, the new press is the first part of a five-year investment programme in the production facilities for agricultural tyres at the Dutch plant.
