Zetor does not have a stand at this year´s Agritechnica but an inconspicuous model from the new 6 Series stands at one corner of the Czech Republic manufacturers exhibition area.

Previewed as a concept at last year´s TechAgro farm machinery show, the new four model range comprises the 6130 (130hp), 6140 (141hp), 6160 (156hp) and 6170 (171hp). All four uses a four-cylinder Deutz 4.1-litre engine mated to a six-stage automatic ZF powershift.

Inside the new Pininfarina designed suspended cab is a new air conditioning unit, air suspended and swivelling seat, touchscreen terminal and up to 12 LED work lights.

Load capacity of the standard Carraro suspended front axle is 4.7t. The optional 5.3t version allows the total weight of the tractor to be increased from 10t to 11.5t. There are four pto speeds, 120l/min hydraulics and rear lift capacity is 9.7t (front 3.5t).

A limited number of models have left the Brno plant since September, and the first 6 Series tractor in the UK, the flagship 6170, is currently in the yard at Tunstall Tractors.

The six is the first stage in the renewal of all Zetor tractor ranges. The 5 Series will be next. Set to replace the Proxima, prototypes are in test, and the plan is to launch the new range towards the end of 2026.

There is no time frame, but Zetor hopes to develop the 7 Series, a six-cylinder range that will probably span 180-220hp. Lower down the power scale, the Major 80 is still in production, but there are plans to phase this out for the 4 Series.
