Visitors to the Nexus Chafer stand will be the first to see the new Sentry 8000 trailed sprayer with Chafer’s largest ever tank, with an 8,000-litre capacity.
James Bilson, sales and marketing director at Nexus Chafer, says it is the result of listening to customers and what they wanted to see added to the range. “A larger tank was one of those things, and we’ve responded by doubling the size of the Sentry’s largest tank,” he adds. “Having an 8,000-litre capacity will double the amount of time that farmers can be spraying, which should make a significant difference.”
The company will also reveal several new enhancements, including a new e-plumbing system that offers better performance, increased reliability, and easier maintenance than previous versions.
Developed by Peter Chantry, one of the directors of Nexus Chafer, which bought the Chafer and Horstine brands out of administration at the beginning of 2026, the new e-plumbing system is available in both electronic and mechanical configurations.
Redesigned to use the fewest working parts possible, the result sees the former 11 valves replaced by just four. Furthermore, the four valves can be serviced individually, thereby significantly reducing the need to service or replace motorised components.
Nexus Chafer will also show an improved and safer steering system with greater accuracy, and enhanced rate and section control system.
