Adrian Lyons from Grass-Tech says the Pro-Drill is the firm’s new grass seeder which they are now making. It does have a very, very close resemblance to a machine sold as the Kӧckerling Herbamat Pasture Seeder, in fact it looks almost identical!

Anyway, each pair of coulters uses a skid to push down any stones or clods. There is an adjustable knife running ahead of each coulter which then drops the seed into the created slot. Each skid unit is connected to a hydraulic cylinder with an accumulator providing some ‘give’ if a stone is encountered. The metering unit is mechanically driven.

There will be 2.4m and 3.0m versions with the smaller model carrying a price tag of €12,320 plus VAT.

In other Grass tech news they are now sourcing the mower units from Kuhn where they are produced in the former PZ/Vicon plant in The Netherlands. And there is a new 100 zero grazer which slots in between the 80 and 120 model. It is based on the 120 but with smaller wheel equipment so it sits slightly lower.
