The 4.0 version of the Harvest Assist app displays new information, such as fields and clamps, to simplify things for grass silage harvesting contractors.

The updated app also organises process sequences and tracks and guides machines, with the information displayed on the user interface.

Now available for both ISObus and non-ISObus machines, the telemetry unit installed on each mower, rake, baler and loader wagon allows them to communicate with the app.

Live machine data, such as transport and working times, the process status of each field, and crop harvested, is continuously available to all members of the harvesting team.

The 4.0 version also displays the location, position and status of each swath in a continuously updated map. Thicker parts in the swath are clearly marked to allow the driver to slow down to avoid blocking the machine.

When using the app with a baler, the map displays the weight of each bale, moisture content, baling time and location. Performance data, such as output per hectare, and the working and transport times of other machines (such as mowers and rakes) is also available.

Making it possible to compare yields across different seasons, cuts, and fields, Pöttinger says the data provides a sound basis for calculating machine costs, and ultimately, the price for each job.

There are no subscription costs for using the app.
