At last week’s Balmoral Show, Quad-X launched a new sprayer for applying liquid fertiliser. Suitable for using with ATVs and UTVs it has a capacity of 700-litres and boom options of 4.0m, 6.0m, 8.0m and 10m fitted with suitable liquid fert nozzles.
It has a galvanised chassis with flotation tyres on a tandem axle. The Quad-X SuperPump can be used for return agitation to keep the liquid fertiliser mixed. Boom suspension improves stability across uneven ground, helping maintain an accurate application height. Standard spec includes an aluminium hand lance and 5.0m hose for spot spraying, while the wiring and in-cab switchgear have been designed to integrate neatly with modern UTVs. A boom break-back protection system helps protect the boom from accidental impacts, while multiple shut-off sections improve precision and reduce overlap in awkward field shapes and headlands.
Optional extras include mudguards, longer hose for the hand lance, hose reel systems, alternative wiring configurations, jockey wheel kits, self-fill systems, engine-driven pump options, swan neck control boxes and high-speed wheel kits for transport applications.
