Turkish manufacturer Novatar reckons to have carved up a successful market for its rear-mounted tractor loaders which are proving popular for handling round bales and big bags.

Founded in 1979, initially making mowers, Novatar Agricultural Machines now produces a wide range of kit from ploughs and cultivators to drills, fertiliser spreaders, grass kit and even muck spreaders.

However, the rear-linkage mounted tractor loaders are the most unusual products from the Turkish manufacturer. With importers already in place in France, Italy and the Netherlands, the company is seeking a dealer for the UK and Ireland for the three models; the KT-2000, KT-3000 and KT-5000.

Suitable for 60hp tractors, the single arm design of the KT-2000 provides better visibility than the twin arm design of the larger models. Maximum lift capacity is 1.0t to 4.0m (maximum unloading height is 3.0m) and the loader weighs just 300kg. Lifting 1.0t to a maximum height of 4.2m, the 390kg KT-3000 requires a 65hp+ tractor.

Suitable for handling manure, round bales and root crops, the maximum lift capacity of the KT-5000 is 1.0t to 5.0m. The maximum tip height is 4.0m and the loader weighs 415kg. The minimum tractor size is said to be 75hp.

Novatar also makes front-end loaders but reckons the cost of a rear-mounted version is more affordable for some farmers. “Also, the tractor has to come to the factory to fit a front loader,” comments export manager, Salih Yigit. “Our rear-mounted tractor loaders are universal and easy to fit to all tractor brands.”

The Turkish manufacturer also makes a crane for fitting to a rear-linkage. Suitable for lifting 1.0t bags of fertiliser, seed or potatoes, to a maximum height of 4.5m. The rear wheels that support this weight rotate through 360 degrees.
