Vogelsang’s SynCult slurry distributor is now available as a retro-fit kit for mounting to cultivators from the likes of Amazone, Horsch, and Lemken.
Suitable for working widths from 4 to 12m, the retrofit kit enables slurry or digestate to be added to the soil while cultivating.
The SynCult has DosiMat DMX distributors for widths up to 7m, and Vogelsang’s ExaCut distributor for wider units from 8 to 12m.
“While SynCult is not new, we hope that with the pressures many farms are under that it will be adopted as an aftermarket retrofit for tillage equipment,” says Vogelsang’s Andy Hayhurst. “Fewer passes means less fuel and labour, while incorporating slurry during tillage work means the nutrients will be available to the crop when it’s planted.”
The slurry distributor uses Vogelsang macerators and hoses to provide flow rates of up to 11,000l/min.
Mr Hayhurst suggests that there could be a further application for the technology. “For some enterprising operators it may be possible to cultivate, apply slurry and seed in just one pass. SynCult could potentially be fitted to a power harrow, drill combi machine to provide natural fertiliser to seeds as they are planted.”
