No, it’s not a new Fendt MT, but the prototype of the first model in the new FT-7 series from Russian manufacturer DST-Ural.
DST-Ural is best known in its homeland for its bulldozers, wheeled loaders and pipelayers for the mining and road construction sectors. Now it is looking to enter the agricultural machinery market with its first tractor.

Despite its Western looks, the FT-741 (412hp) is powered by a 11.12-litre YaMZ six-pot block. Top speed of the electronically controlled hydrostatic transmission is 23km/hr.
Electro-hydraulic controls are standard, there is a Cat IV linkage, and the cab is equipped with a mechanically suspended seat. The fuel tank capacity holds 850 litres, the load sensing pump has a capacity of 280l/min and the tractor weigh 19t.

The standard spec includes 20 work lights, a tool box, sun blind, cruise control and external buttons for the rear linkage. Track width is 762mm.
Currently in the test phase, it is not yet known when the tractor will be added to the price list, and what plans DST-Ural has regarding smaller and more powerful FT-7 models.

What we can confirm is that the Russian manufacturer is in the process of expanding its ag range to include the TL-41.7 (4.1t to 7.0m) telehandler (132hp) and 190hp L430 wheel loader.
All machines are produced at the DST-Ural plant in Chelyabinsk a 1,800km drive east of Moscow. With 63,000m² of production area, the plant, which was founded in 1998, produces around 800 machines total a year. Pictures: DST-Ural
