Specialist haulage was needed to deliver the snappily named SelfLine 4.0 System 2000+ self-propelled diet feeder from SiloKing’s factory in Bavaria to Hannover due to its sizable dimensions.
Up until now 32m3 was the largest capacity self-propelled from SiloKing, but this new model has a 45m3, triple auger hopper. Capable of feeding 320 cows per fill, it is aimed at farms with around 2,000 head and can do the math on the priced tag which is expected to be in the €500,000 region.

It has a wider 2.3m milling head and the loading arm can fill from 7.0m high silage clamps. SiloKing sticks with Volvo for the engine, this one having 500hp. All four axles have steering and three of them are driven by the hydrostatic transmission.
SiloKing is believed to be the biggest producer of self-propelled diet feeders with around 50 leaving the factory every month.
