Opico, the importer of the King, Swing and Tip three-gang rollers made by Danish firm HE-VA, has added a new entry-level hydraulically-folding range. Called the VIP, while retaining many of the features of the larger models, the new versions are built to a simpler specification. This includes the redesigned and strengthened frame, which can take either 510mm (20”), 560mm (22”) or 620mm (24”) Cambridge and breaker rings.
Available in working widths of 4.5m, 5.4m, 6.3m, 7.3m and 8.2m, the two smaller models fold to a transport width of 2.2m and the other three to 2.45m. Locking cradles secure both wing sections during transport when the weight is carried between the tractor and transport wheels. The company says a simple stop bolt allows the drawbar height to be easily adjusted to suit different tractors.
Factory fitted options include the Special Active Transfer (SAT) system. Recommended for uneven ground, the system hydraulically spreads the weight across the full width of the machine. The 4.5m VIP roller, with 510mm (20”) Cambridge and breaker rings and road lights, retails at £6,972 + VAT.
