Described as the next-generation precision planter, the Sky Sonic is said to ensure seed placement accuracy above 99%, even at speeds exceeding 12km/hr.
Available in telescopic versions (six to nine rows) and folding versions (eight to 12 rows), the Sonic integrates RowMotion technology as standard. This allows row spacing to be modified directly in the field when changing crops without disassembling any row units. Certain row units can also be hydraulically lifted, allowing planting with only a partial number of rows.

The reduced angle of the double discs (9° compared to the usual 12°) minimises soil disturbance, and the finely tuned vacuum system is said to guarantee optimal seed positioning without bounce or projection, even with the lightest crops such as oilseed rape, sunflower, and sugar beet. Hydraulic downforce is up to 350kg per row unit (load transfer system from the tractor is optional).

Standard equipment on the ISObus compatible planter includes turbo discs for direct seeding and dual-distribution micro granulators (ideal for companion cropping). Six types of closing wheels are available, and the Sonic can be equipped with an integrated fertiliser hopper and Progress TF front hopper.
