1,650 tractors were registered in the UK last month, down 6.8% when compared with March 2017, and registrations for the first quarter of this year of 2,932 units were down 3.0% when compared with January-March 2017.

March is normally the peak month for tractor registrations and this year looks to be no exception, reckons the AEA. However, for the second month in a row, UK registrations of agricultural tractors (50hp+) were below last year’s level.

This year started positively with 698 units registered in January (+10.1% when compared with January 2017). February’s total of 584 units was down 5.8% when compared with the same month a year ago.
