Farmers and contractors have a rare opportunity to share in the success of JCB’s tractor speed record by securing a special edition version of the Fastrac 4220 and 8330.

The enhanced appearance and equipment of the special edition tractors celebrates an achievement by a team of young JCB engineers and project partners, which started last June 2019 at Elvington Airfield in Yorkshire. Piloted by motorbike racer and lorry mechanic Guy Martin, Fastrac One reached a speed of 103.6mph (166.73km/hr) establishing a Guinness World Record for the fastest tractor (modified).

JCB then embarked on an ambitious plan to break its own record and developed Fastrac Two, which last October hit a peak speed of 153.771mph (247.47km/hr) on its way to recording an average of 135.191mph (217.57km/hr) at Elvington.

External enhancements on the special edition Fastracs comprise a chromed exhaust stack, special ‘Union Flag’ decals on the cab rear three-quarter panels, and embossed ‘JCBWFT’ lettering on the toolbox.

A logo representing the Union flag on the rear three-quarter panels of the Fastrac’s cab helps identify the special edition tractors.

Exclusive features of the WFT special edition tractors include yellow edged and stitched leather upholstery with ‘JCB Fastrac – World’s Fastest Tractor’ embossing, which is repeated in the grey floor carpet.

The script ‘JCB Fastrac – Word’s Fastest Tractor’ is not only etched into the doorway kick plate and woven into the grey door-to-door carpet, but also embossed into the leather upholstery of the two seats, which have distinctive yellow edge panels and stitching to match.

A leather-bound steering wheel with yellow stitching and WFT Fastrac logo at its centre are among exclusive features of the JCB Fastrac special edition tractors.

Operators also have the luxury of a JCB yellow-stitched leather-bound steering wheel with a ‘Fastrac at speed’ logo at its centre.

Engine bonnet graphics proclaim the JCB Fastrac’s ‘World’s Fastest Tractor’ title.

In addition, every special edition Fastrac 4220 and 8330 has a commemorative plaque identifying the tractor as one of just 25 examples of each model celebrating the record, along with a certificate of authenticity for the owner.

Keen to secure one of the special edition tractors? You will have to be fast because just 25 examples of each model are being produced and dealers in Europe, North America, New Zealand and Australia have been quick to place orders.
