Claas registered approx. 7,700-7,800 new tractors in mainland Europe last year. Of this, 5,537 were in the top three markets of France, Germany and Italy. This is on a par with 2023 (5,725) and 2022 (5,725).
Claas accounted for 2,236 tractors (+6.9%) of the total 29,315-strong German market in 2024, giving in third place in the overall standings, and a market share of 7.6% (6.9% in 2023).
The number one market of France was down -6.8% last year from 35,665 in 2023 to 33,225 units. Claas accounted for 2,724 (-8.7%) units of the total, giving it sixth place in the overall standings and a market share of 8.2% (8.4% in 2023).
In Italy, the third largest tractor market in Europe, Claas registrations of 577 units were down 11% on 2023, but then the total Italian market also fell from 17,613 in 2023 to 15,448.
With the exception of Germany, Claas did not rank in three top three positions in any other European country last year, but the buoyant 10,390-strong Spanish market was another bright spot, where the brand registered 300 new tractors; +51% on the 198 in 2023. Source: Eilbote
