Tallis Amos Group (TAG), one of the oldest John Deere dealerships in the UK, will close its Llanllwni depot in southwest Wales on Christmas Eve.
The depot, which opened in January 2023 to help serve customers within the Carmarthenshire area, has operated during a challenging period for the agricultural sector, particularly due to a 36% decline in tractor industry volume in southwest Wales.
All Llanllwni team members are being offered relocation to the company’s Narberth depot, allowing TAG to retain their valuable experience and ensure continuity of service for customers.

The Narberth depot is fully equipped with workshops for agricultural, lawn and ground care machinery, supported by an extensive parts department and a dedicated backup team. The site also provides mobile service support and parts delivery.
“This has been a difficult decision” said Simon Amos, director of Tallis Amos Group. “We are incredibly proud of the team at Llanllwni and the work they’ve done to support our customers over the past three years. However, bringing our southwest Wales operations together at Narberth will allow us to strengthen our resources, improve efficiency, and continue providing the exceptional service our customers deserve. Our commitment to serving the farming community in southwest Wales remains as strong as ever.”
