For the past five years, Danish firm Siwi has offered a system that allows trailers, muck spreaders and even mixer wagons, to be connected and disconnected from the safety of the tractor cab, in just five seconds. Called the Combi-Hitch, as many as eight hydraulic and two electrical services are automatically connected and disconnected in one swift movement.
The only thing that was missing was automatic attachment and removal of the PTO. This is now included on the new and heavy-duty 2017-version. Designed for Cat III linkages on tractors up to 400hp, the system costs around €13,000.
