Horsch has developed a trailed version of its Finer tine cultivator. The Finer XL is available in working widths of 7.0m and 8.0m.

Joining the four mounted Finer SL (5.0m-8.0m) models, the new trailed versions provide the same working depth range from 2.0cm to 10cm. Suitable for stubble cultivation, seedbed preparation and mechanical weed control, tine spacing is 15cm and the two trailed models are available with a 5.0cm or 20cm wing point.

The 52cm bar spacing and high clearance is said to result in full width cutting, and the Finer XL is said to provide good results in high volumes of surface trash.

Horsch reckons that the combination of depth control wheels in the front, contour following and a single or double packer in the rear guarantees precise depth control even when working shallowly.

A wide range of packer and harrow combinations are available. Wider and narrower working widths are in the pipeline as well as a version with only a harrow and without a packer.
