With an optimal working depth of 2-4cm, the diamond formation of the new Powerchain disc cultivator from Dalbo UK is described as a high-speed (10-15km/hr), low maintenance implement that will create a full cut across the working width.

Suitable for multiple tasks, including post-harvest cultivations, breaking down, destroying and incorporating cover crops, plus weed and residue control, a range of discs with various weight options are available as is a seeding unit.

Smaller and wider working widths will be available in the future, but the Powerchain 800 (8.0m), which has a tractor power requirement of around 200hp and folds to 3.0m for transport, is the first model. Originally planned to be at LAMMA 2022, the UK debut will take place at next week’s Doe show, which runs from February 1-3.

Initially available in limited numbers, the 800, which retails at £52,000, will be in full production later this year.
