Pivot steer wheel loaders made by Italian manufacturer Venieri are now available in the UK through sole importer RVW Pugh. Initially, the company is concentrating on two models, the 3.63G and the 13.63. Described as ideal for the farm sector, the 3.63G is a compact 1.82m-wide farm machine, while the 14.6-tonne 177hp 13.63 is aimed at both agricultural and earthmoving applications. The first two units are in stock and ready for demonstrations, but the actual public launch will be at the Royal Welsh Show from July 20-23. But what makes these wheel loaders different to others on the market? Well, Venieri says its machines are built with minimal electronics, and the ‘Z’ linkage system allows for quick and easy equipment change. Other features include being able to select three forward/reverse automatic speeds in the hydrostatic transmission using a single electric gear selector.  According to managing director Robert Pugh of RVW Pugh (MF and Fendt dealer in Powys, Shropshire and Cheshire), the Italian machines are fantastically durable and cost a fraction of the price of similar brands. “They provide a great new option for those in need of a new loader,” he says. Venieri claims to have not only been the first company to introduce a hydrostatic transmission in earthmoving machines in 1968, but also the first to develop an electric loader in 2007. Managing director Filippo Venieri believes his company’s machines fit perfectly into the UK agricultural sector in terms of power, performance, and ease of maintenance. “Our emphasis is on quality over quantity, which is why we have chosen the single dealer route to market.”
