Made in Ireland, tested in England and launched in Germany. AgriSpread was showing its new AS3000 bulk spreader at Agritechnica. This uses much of the technology and features of the AS2000 but gains a conveyor system to widen the spreading width up to 30m with lime and up to 48m with urea.
The conveyor system places the discs 6.2m apart and it is available on the single 120 and tandem axle 150 and 220 models (capacity ranges from 11.9 to 21.0m3) with the option of stainless steel hoppers. The AS3000 has its own onboard hydraulic system with a pto powered pump. This is used to drive the discs, conveyors and belt floor.
The speed of each disc can be controlled separately for section control and boundary spreading. Application rates are controlled by TopCon sourced electronics which also includes variable rate application at up to 2,300kg/min with lime.
Lincolnshire-based GSE Contractors have been trialling the two prototypes this season under the watchful eye of importer Dales Agri Sales and engineers from Agri Spread. Prices have yet to be announced but GSE has reportedly ordered additional spreaders for next year.
