The major European machinery event makes a return next month having last taken place in 2023. And if the huge number of new tractors and machinery already announced is anything to go by, this is going to be one heck of a gig to go to. Here is a flavour or what to expect at the seven-day show.

KEEPING IT BRIEF

  • Agritechnica is the only trade show to completely fills all 23 halls at the 380ha site
  • 2,700 exhibitors from 52 countries
  • 430,000 visitors expected
  • Around 250 world tractor and machine premieres expected
  • Approx 450 tractors and 30 combines on display
  • Two gold and 22 silver medals in the innovation award
  • Dates: 9 to 15 November 2025

There have already been several bits of tractor news announced ahead of the popular German show. These include short wheelbase versions of the New Holland T7 (profi Harvest Special 2025), the JCB Fastrac 6000 series (driving impression begins on page 28), a whole bunch of new Fendt tractors (profi Harvest Special 2025)), and Xtra versions of the Massey 8S (profi 09/2025).

Case IH, one of the last of the big-name manufacturers to hold a press conference this side of the show, confirms that the Quadtrac 785 (max power 853hp) and the new Optum (both covered on pages 12-13) will be on the stand. Speaking of big tractors, as you can read on page 8, Zoomlion will show the 1,200hp DX7004, and Agritechnica provides the first opportunity to see the Canadian-built Versatile Nemesis in Europe.

Some manufacturers are holding off until the show to reveal their latest new models. This includes Deutz-Fahr which will unveil a new range, and it is tipped that New Holland will show the European-built successor to the North American made T8. Aside from a bit of info on the new driveline, Claas is keeping the rest of the spec of the latest Axion tractors under wraps until the show.

Implement makers, including Kuhn (profi 09/2025) and Kverneland, Amazone and Horsch (all profi Harvest Special 2025), have also been working hard the last few months announcing details of their latest wares. Just have a look back over our news section to see some of the new kit that is planned for 2026 that we have already reported on. But there are still lots more being announced so have a look through our show preview and keep an eye on profi.co.uk for more news.

CLAAS BALER

Claas has secured an Agritechnica innovation award gold medal with a large square baler concept that achieves throughputs of up to 70t/hr in straw. Destined to sit above the Quadrant, bale size is 1.20m x 90cm with a constant density of 210kg/m³ (peak up to 235 kg/m³). The technical details are under wraps, but the main gearbox is integrated into the frame, and it uses two longitudinal flywheels running at 1650rpm. In addition to two power belts, sensors in the rotor continuously monitor gear loads and automatically adjust various systems, such as AI-assisted density control and bale length regulation. The double-loop knotter is also new.

REITER R10

Reiter reckons to have delivered around 800 Respiro mergers in the past 10 years and has used all the experience gained to develop them in the second generation pick-up on the R10 (working width of up to 10m). The pick-up on the new fully ISObus-compatible merger is said to produce a better flow of material to the centre of the belt and belt speed is adjusted from the cab. Weighing around 6.5t, power requirement is from 150hp. Transport height, width and length are 3.95m, 2.96m, and 6.4m, respectively. Reiter will also show a new generation of Respiro 3.0m and 3.5m front machines with a new pick-up.

HARDI AREX

Hardi will show the nearly finished version of its new Arex self-propelled sprayer. Powered by a 310hp six-cylinder Cummins engine, the tank, which is mounted between the engine and cab, has a capacity of 5,000 or 6,000 litres. Other new machines on the stand include the updated trailed Navigator, the new paintwork of which aligns with the Aeon, Alpha and Mega sprayers. Now available in standard, Titanium and Centura line, and in tank sizes from 3,000 to 6,000 litres, the upgraded standard spec includes hydraulic bypass valve, hydraulic oil filter and redesigned controls. The Delta Force boom is available in widths from 18 to 39m.

KRONE OPTISET

Highlights on the Krone stand include the Swadro BaleTrain TC880 and CombiPack HDP baler wrapper and Big X860 self-propelled forager (profi Harvest Special). Something the company did not talk about at its pre-Agritechnica press meeting in August is Optiset, which enables the spreading angle of its Vendro tedders to be steplessly adjusted from the tractor cab. Allowing the spreading angle of all rotors to be push button changed between 13 and 19 degrees, benefits of more frequent spreading angle adjustment include a higher forage quality and reduced losses. The concept also opens up prospects for autonomous use in the future. The silver medal winning solution in the show innovation award will be available on all Vendro tedders next season.

FLIEGL HYDROLIFT

The HydroLift lifting axle for triple-axle trailers is one novelty (there will be others) on the Fliegl Agrartechnik stand. Claimed to increase transport safety and efficiency, at its core is an integrated load sensing system in the hydro-pneumatically suspended drawbar. In the event of an overload, the first axle is automatically lowered to increase stability. A safety system prevents it from being raised unintentionally when the load decreases, for example, during unloading or on slopes (manual override is possible). When the axle is raised, the system reduces tyre wear and fuel consumption when travelling on the road.

SAMASZ FOUR-ROTOR RAKE

Samasz will unveil a prototype of the Z4-1550 four-rotor rake. With 15 tine arms per 3.80m diameter rotor, it comes with active hydro-pneumatic suspension, six-wheel ground-following chassis with rotatable wheels (180° and 360°), adjustable cam track, and optional wide tyre sizes of 600/55-22.5, 710/45-22.5, and 800/35-22.5. ISObus control in standard, as is automatic swath overlap adjustment, 80° pivot hitch for easier turns, and automatic frame levelling system. The transport width of 3.0m is achieved without removing any tine arms. The Polish manufacturer will also launch the new KDX plain disc mower series. Replacing the KDTC and KT ranges, there are two models: KDX 300 (3.0m) and KDX350 (3.50m).

LEMKEN SOLITAIR MF

There will be others, but Lemken has disclosed details of some of the new machines it will bring to Hanover. These include the Diamant 18 plough with integrated furrow press (profi 09/2025), Onyx subsoiler (profi Harvest Special 2025) and Solitair PT (profi 10/2025). Speaking of Solitair, the company will also show new MF mounted versions of the pneumatic seed drill. The folding counterpart to the Solitair MR is available in working widths of 4.0m, 4.5m and 6.0m. The latter is equipped with an automatic transport support wheel. This is controlled automatically when the coulter bar is folded in or out to carry 1.4t of the drill’s weight. The hopper holds 2,000 litres (twin hopper split 60:40 option) and the MF can work with the Solitair F front tank (1,900 or 2,400 litres).

MANITOU MLT625e

The MLT625e, Manitou’s first ag electric telehandler is now on sale. Powered by a 35kWh battery, there are two modes: standard or boost. The integrated 9kW charger takes nine hours to recharge the battery to 80% (220v) or three hours with the 380v fast charger. LED lights are standard. Also on the stand will be the new MLT742 (4.2t to 7.0m) and MLT 937 (3.7t to 9.0m). Engine power of the MLT937 is 116hp. This is mated to a torque converter with Powershuttle gearbox and hydraulic oil flow is 150l/min.

DAMMANN AGRIBALANCE

AgriBalance, the German manufacturer’s electronic boom control system, is said to be more stable and offer faster reaction times than the previous pneumatic system. A pressure control valve, supported by additional sensors, keeps the boom at the optimum height and angle above the crop. Optional on all the firm’s trailed and self-propelled sprayers, it can also be retrofitted. Other Dammann novelties include the launch of a 48m boom (previous widest 42m) for the 20,000-litre Profi-Class Tridem. The new boom can also work at widths of 21m and 42m. Electrohydraulic forced steering, which is already available on the Tridem, is now optional on trailed tandem axle machines, as is an air suspended cab on the twin axle DT 2800H.

STRAUTMANN MS

The revised HS spreader series will be on the Strautmann stand. Set to replace the existing MS 801 to MS 1401 models, the main updates on the new MS 105 (10.5m³) and MS 120 (12m³) centre on the spreading equipment. The four vertically arranged spreading rotors are said to evenly distribute the material across a working width of up to 8.0m (universal spreading mechanism with slurry door is optional). Other options include equipping the universal spreading mechanism with a new cardan drive, and hydraulic border spread deflectors are also available. Both single and tandem axle formats are available. A self-steering axle is optional for the MS 120, and the MS 105 can be equipped with air brakes.

ADAPTIVE CLAAS DRIVELINE

We will have to wait until the show to see the new Claas Axion series in the flesh, but its fully adaptive driveline management system has secured a silver medal in the innovation award. The system continuously and proactively adjusts engine speed and transmission ratio depending on load, travel speed, and hydraulic demand, delivering the required power under all operating conditions, without any input from the driver. The fully automatic system is based on a self-learning algorithm and efficiency maps for the engine, CVT, hydraulics, and auxiliary systems. Auto Load Anticipation detects load changes in advance and proactively increases engine speed before the load change occurs, such as when lowering an implement into the ground.

VÄDERSTAD SPIRIT AND INSPIRE

The new seed coulter is the most notable update on the latest generation of the Väderstad Spirit 400-900C/S seed drill and Inspire 1200C/S. Called TriForce II, the new unit uses patented suspension technology to generate pressures of up to 120kg (previously 80kg). New options include hydraulic depth control. This is set directly from the cab, instead of manually at the rear of the machine. There is also a new following harrow option. Both Spirit and Inspire are available to order now, with deliveries starting later this year.

KÖCKERLING GRAVO

Designed for chopping up oilseed rape and maize stubbles, and incorporating cover crops, Köckerling’s new Gravo knife roller can be front or rear mounted. It can also be combined with other implements, such as a cultivator or disc harrow. Comprising two 360mm diameter rotating rollers, the design is said to ensure effective cross cutting. Optional equipment includes additional weight plates, steerable front mounting frame and a three-row harrow to distribute straw and organic matter. The Gravo will initially be offered in working widths of 5.30m and 6.10m. Köckerling will also show wider 7.2m and 7.5m widths of its Ultima CS tine seeder. There are also new combi-machines (Ultima CS 3.0m/4.0m). These are equipped with two metering units and a split (60:40) tank.

NOVAG 750 SERIES

The new T-ForcePlus 750 direct drill is the main novelty on the Novag stand. With a working width of 7.20 or 7.50m, it fills the gap between the existing 650 and 850 models. The 750 is the first Novag drill with IntelliHead, a new generation of distributor heads and advanced section control. The new option is available on all the firm’s 6.0m+ drills. The 750 has a new platform, an optimised three-stage folding system, and a redesigned seed and fertiliser hopper. Coulter pressure ranges from 100 to 500kg, working speeds are up to 12km/hr and power requirement is around 300hp. There are also new access ladders, an integrated toolbox, more compact transport dimensions and the new drill is approved for road travel at 40km/hr.

INTELLIGENT LEMKEN KARAT

Lemken will show an intelligent automation ready Karat cultivator. Developed jointly with Dutch AI and image processing specialist Track32, the iQblue smart implement monitoring solution combines three automation systems. The first monitors the flow of material through the tines in real time. Intelligent image evaluation detects critical accumulations of clumps of straw or soil. Sensors are continuously used to control slippage, and if there is a risk insufficient reconsolidation, the system automatically adjusts the ground speed. Awarded with an innovation award silver medal, iQblue uses a camera with AI-supported image analysis to automatically assess the cultivator shares at the headland. All information is collated on a central display on the ISObus terminal.

GRIMME NAVO 140

Grimme has expanded its vegetable harvesting portfolio with the Navo 140 trailed top lifter for carrots, parsnips and other vegetables. Carrots can be harvested until the autumn using a top-lifting unit, but in winter the weak carrot tops require a main web harvester. Grimme has devised a system to suit both. Called ModuChange, it enables quick and easy replacement of the intake unit from a top lifter to a main web harvester or vice versa by just one person. The Navo can be equipped with a video system, allowing important functions such as intake, cutting unit or bunker to be monitored and adjusted from the cab. The single row ISObus controlled harvester is equipped with a 4.0t bunker.

FENDT IDEAL

The heart of the newly designed CyclonePlus cleaning system on Fendt Ideal combines is the pre-sieve with 1.0m² concave area and new upper concave. Both concaves are positioned in such a way that the pre-cleaned crop reaches the upper concave as early as possible leaving more cleaning surface to separate the last grains from the chaff. Fendt says that this increases the cleaning capacity and at the same time reduces the losses. The air flow has also been revised; there is a new design for the grain pan and a new position for the rotor loss sensor. The previous package of LED spotlights in the roof has been revised. Each one now provides 4,000 lumens, improving the light output to the front. The new lights can also be retrofitted to existing models. There are also new front and rear tyre and track options for all Ideal models. All new options are available for harvest 2026 delivery.

CORN HEADER AUTOMATION

New Holland unveiled the CR11 combine at the last Agritechnica in 2023. The company will use this year’s show to provide more automation for the header with a system called Corn Header Automation. The silver medal winning concept adjusts all settings automatically. Sensors on each row measure the losses. Ground speed matching synchronizes header processing with combine ground speed to optimise throughput and reduce losses. The gap between the plates is based on crop conditions, and stalk processing automation that controls roll speed and header attack angle to match crop moisture, stalk condition and field variability, to optimise throughput and reduce losses.

GERINGHOFF EXTREMEFLEX

Geringhoff will show a new range of draper headers for Class 10 and 11 combines. Called ExtremeFlex and available in widths of 10.65 to 15.2m, all have a three-sectioned frame and reel, and the position of the new intake auger is said to increase capacity. The new headers also have active height control, and the efficiency of the AIR option is increased by 30%. Geringhoff reckons that 40% of combine harvester losses are caused by the header, and in the majority of cases by the reel or belt turning too fast. With this in mind, the company will show a concept that is designed to ensure that both run at the correct speed to reduce the losses. Called Yield EyeQ, the silver medal winner uses high-resolution cameras at the rear of the header housing to scan the ground. The operator is alerted to the losses, which can be reduced by altering the speed of the reel or belt.

BERGMANN XPERT

Bergmann will show the triple-axle 6.34 flagship in the new range of Xpert spreaders. The German manufacturer reckons to be the first to offer an ISObus-TIM option with the spreader controlling the tractor. Applications include SpeedControl, where spread rate is adjusted by varying the tractor speed with a constant scraper floor speed. PTOControl switches the shaft on and off coupled with the scraper floor and automatically deactivates the PTO if the discs or beaters are blocked. The body of all Xperts does not require an additional subframe and is open at the bottom for good access for maintenance and cleaning. The steeper mudguards and positioning the LED lights above the spreading unit helps to keep them clean. There are nine Expert models with weights from 12t to 34t.

JOHN DEERE TRACTORS AND MORE

John Deere will have the largest stand at this year’s show where it will show a broad portfolio of alternative drive solutions. These include the fully electric 130hp E-Power tractor prototype previewed at CES in Las Vegas earlier this year and is now close to the pre-production stage. The 9RX830 will take centre stage on the stand with the second-generation autonomous kit. The enhanced system uses 16 individual cameras for full 360-degree visibility and calculates working depth with greater precision over longer distances. Other machines on the stand include the new F8 and F9 self-propelled forage harvesters, and the German show will be the first public outing for the 500R self-propelled sprayer.

VÄDERSTAD TEMPO AND PROCEED

The new row unit is the big change on the newly styled Tempo and Proceed planters, Väderstad returning to the drawing board to develop it. The result of many years of development, testing and fine-tuning, the long list of features includes planting depth setting from a prescription map, easier seed tube change and switching between crops, an even narrower seed slot, new electronics and seed hopper, and upgraded seed meters with one-handed seed meter opening. The new row unit is available in both a central-fill format with a 5-litre mini-hopper, as well as a standard guise with a larger seed hopper on the row unit. The new row unit will be fitted to all Tempo and Proceed V 24 models from mid-2026 when the current row unit will be phased out.

RAUCH FLEXBIN

The FlexBin hopper allows two different types of fertilisers to be applied at the same time. Suitable for wide working widths, the heart of the concept is the patented Powerpack system where two separately hydraulically controlled belts transport the two fertilisers separately, bringing them together in a 10-litre capacity container. Here they are mixed and then conveyed to the spreading discs. The mixing ratio of the two types of fertilisers can be controlled in real time to match an application map. The intelligent algorithm in the system automatically takes into account the physical properties of the two fertilisers, and continuously adjusts the drop point, speed and switch-on times. Rauch will also show a silver medal winning concept to regulate the speed of the right-hand disc of a fertiliser spreader with mechanical PTO drive when driving around headlands. Called VarioSmart, the concept allows the speed of the disc to be infinitely varied from 400 to 900rpm for more precise fertiliser distribution.

GERINGHOFF COVERPRO

CoverPro is the name of an integrated precision cover crop seeder for bolting directly to the combine header. Eliminating the need for an additional pass with a tractor, the technique, which was developed with Kverneland, is available for headers from 5.5 to 9.0m. The hopper on each side holds 500 litres and the two units increase the total weight of a 9.0m header to 4.3t. The company says that the cover crops seeders, which only fit rigid Geringhoff headers, take 1-2 hours to fit or remove.

HORSCH 9 LT

Horsch will expand its trailed sprayer range with the Leeb 9 LT. Equipped with a 9,000-litre plastic tank, the new single-axle model is positioned between the LT, GS and the tandem series. Filling a gap in the portfolio for users seeking more tank capacity without compromising on agility, the new sprayer shares much of its technology with the existing ranges. This includes the tank, which is a larger version of the LT series. Horsch reckons that its plastic construction is an attractive solution for many farms, especially where frequent cleaning is not required. Options include BoomControl, the active boom control system.

GRIMME VARITRON 470

Grimme will show the fourth generation of the four-row Varitron 470 harvester.

Suitable for potatoes, onions and carrots, the patented NonstopBunker is now also available in an XL version with a capacity of 13m³. Powered by a 460hp Mercedes-Benz (MTU) engine, the hydraulic drive power of the MultiSep has been increased by a further 25% and the adjustment options refined to meet the increased demands on cleaning performance.

A new ConstantFlow bunker (capacity approx. 5.0t) and cart elevator have been developed for customers filling boxes with high-quality potatoes directly during harvesting. This can be combined with a sorting table. The Varitron 470 is fitted with the new X11 cab, CCI 1200 operator terminal and SmartView video system.

E-LS CONNECT

The required oil pressure for a potato harvester is transmitted electronically to the tractor’s control unit via ISObus with the new e-LS connect system. Developed jointly by Fendt and Ropa, the electronic signal controls the pump in the tractor and provides the pressure for the right volume flow, based on demand and precision. Benefits include increased operational reliability and higher productivity. From the middle of next year, existing Fendt tractors can be retrofitted with corresponding components via software updates. These include 500 Vario Gen4, 600 Vario, 700 Vario Gen7, 700 Vario Gen7.1 and 800 Vario Gen5.

STOLL TRACLIFT

Filling the gap between the Profiline and Solidline, the new TracLift front loader for tractors from 60 to 120hp will initially be available in three sizes. The Operator Protective Guard (OPG) kit is also new. Claimed as an industry first and developed for tractors working with front loaders without a cab, the patented system protects the driver should a round bale roll down the loader arms. OPG is suitable for fitting to all tractor brands. Stoll will also show a quick connection concept that allows a front loader to be attached and removed from the safety of the cab. Last but not least, the company has been busy testing pre-production units of its telescopic front loader unveiled at AT23. Satisfied with progress, it will be added to the price lists early next year. This will be followed by an ISObus version at the end of 2026/early 2027.

Agritechnica briefs ……

DEUTZ TRACTOR ASSISTED GUIDANCE

Deutz-Fahr will launch Tractor Assisted Guidance System (TAGS), a silver medal winning concept that allows the integration of various assistance systems on a tractor. Centred around a new electronics architecture and numerous sensor and camera systems, the technology will be highlighted on a new six-cylinder tractor range. The standard TAGS package includes lane keeping and cornering assistant and object/person recognition functions. These can be extended with the additional advanced package to include adaptive cruise control with collision warning and traffic sign recognition. Benefits include increased safety when travelling on the road and manoeuvring on the farm, and the technology prepares the tractor for autonomous functions in the future.

SILVER FOR CLAAS, FENDT AND NEW HOLLAND

There are silver medals for Claas, Fendt and New Holland for three innovations based on a common basic concept that provides real-time quality analysis when chopping maize.

The core element in the Fendt (ForageQualityCam), New Holland (ForageCam) and Claas (Cemos Auto Chopping assistance system) is a camera installed in the discharge chute. This uses AI to continually analyse the structure of the chopped material and displays this in real time.

FENDT FUTURE ZONE

Fendt will show the e100 Vario in combination with a battery-electric range extender from GreenIng, mounted on the front linkage and a precision seed drill on the rear. An 800 Vario will also be in Fendt Future Zone fitted with the OutRun retrofit kit for autonomous driving from PTx Trimble. With this system, the tractor can act autonomously in harvesting with a chaser bin. This solution is available on the North American market for the Fendt 900 and 1000 Vario series from 2026. Autonomous cultivation is also planned with the OutRun Tillage Kit later next year. Fendt will also show RowPilot, an AI-based row management system for mechanical hoes and developed jointly with PTx Trimble.

AMAZONE SOILDETECT

The silver medal winning ZA-TS 01 AutoSpread mounted self-adjusting fertiliser spreader, and AI-based EasyMatch recognition system will both be on the Amazone stand. The latter identifies the right fertiliser by photographic image and enables push-button adjustment of any of the company’s spreaders. Another Amazone innovation, SoilDetect, measures soil conductivity while cultivating. The information is used to generate field maps. Amazone will show the new generation Catros+ 12003-2TX in working widths of 12m and 12.25m. These have a new chassis design and folding concept and lots of new options. The new Condor 02 trailed drill will also be on the stand. Notable points of the new ISObus controlled versions include 8.0m and 9.0m working widths. There is a more compact chassis layout and optional row spacing of 20cm.

NEW HOLLAND T7.270

New Holland’s T7.270 Methane Power CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) tractor officially joins the range from Agritechnica. Underneath the hood lies a NEF 6.7-litre six-cylinder engine upgraded with a high-performance turbo, new engine dataset, specific fuel system and after-treatment layout. Generating a peak torque of 1,160Nm, it produces a maximum 270hp under all conditions. The new T7’s larger chassis has allowed the design team to optimise gas storage. With a standard capacity of 657 litres (117.9kg), the optional 480-litre (86.2kg) range extender increases the total capacity to 1,106 litres (204.1kg). New Holland says this is sufficient for up to 11 hours of operation during transport applications. The methane powered tractor can be ordered from the end of this year, with deliveries starting in Q2, 2026.

PÖTTINGER newcomers

The flurry of new Pöttinger product
includes the Liquido F front silage additive tank, new 12.5m version of the Terradisc
HT disc harrow, a 12m version of the Tinecare precision tine harrow and the latest version of the Flexcare V mechanical hoe. Pöttinger will also show the latest version of its 2024-lauched Top VT 12540 C four-rotor rake (working width from 10 to 12.50m). The main update is the new option of the Profiline comfort control system with direct mode allowing individual rotors to be lifted from the touchscreen display. Profiline is now also available on the Novacat F 3100 Opticurve front mower. This allows the mower to automatically steer to the left and right depending on the turning angle of the tractor and angle of the slope.

SLOPE COMPENSATION

A joint project between Einböck and Claas has resulted in Smart-Hill, a fully automatic slope compensation system for mechanical hoes. Said to take camera-based row detection on slopes to a new level, it uses a Claas Culti Cam stereo camera to analyse colour information and 3D surface models to precisely detect slope inclination. The integrated job computer processes this data in real time and controls the additional rotating axis of the side shifting frame via a proportional valve. This ensures that the hoe remains at a 90° angle to the row when working on an incline.

BERGMANN ACTIVELOAD 2

The six rows of tines on the newly developed ActiveLoad 2 pick-up are designed to achieve maximum intakes of clean material without losses. Ideally matched to the company’s Repex, Carex and Shuttle forage wagons, the pick-up is available in three widths: 1.94m, 2.05m and 2.27m. The new plastic scrapers are said to improve the material flow while minimising operating noise, the diameter of the double tines has been increased by 20%, and the pick-up is equipped with a new suspension system. A small number of pre-production versions of the new pick-up will be released for 2026 with full availability for 2027.
