to the engine, politely requesting extra grunt to ensure a smooth shift from one gear to the next. The result is an 18F/6R powershift that slides between ratios – something of a contrast to the 24F/6R PowerSync synchromesh unit, which is all clutch and legwork except for the doubling electro-hydraulic splitter.
