DRIVING IMPRESSION: When Ford and Fiatagri came together to form New Holland the new management promised to update all its product ranges. It has kept its word and its latest introduction are mid-range tractors called the Series 60/M. Words by Mick Roberts, photographs by Barry Wyles.
After making a particularly good job of the Series 70/G, top-end tractors New Holland has now turned its attention to the midpower range. There are four new models, from 74.6kW/100hp to 119kW/160hp, built in Basildon, England.
Outwardly the tractors look similar to their big brothers in the Series 70/G. Indeed many of the design features from those tractors can also be found on the new Series 60/M models. The new tractors come in a choice of blue (Ford) or Terracotta (Fiat) with different model designations, but in all other respects they are identical.
