Haymaking in Switzerland: Steep hay

Switzerland is grassland country, and many of the nation’s dairy farms rely on hay. The sweet-smelling stuff is harvested with special kit that is able to safely climb the steep mountain slopes

The land of multitool knives, triangular chocolate, skiing and a wide variety of cheeses. In respect of the latter, the so-called ‘hay milk’ is the main ingredient, as it is in many of Switzerland's other dairy products.
