Changing tractor wheels can be a tedious and dangerous task. But the arrival of a Trakjak has made the process a much safer and productive process for one Warwickshire farm

Spring cultivations and drilling at the 800ha Highwood Farm, near Brinklow, are operations that see tractors shod on wide tyres, to ease the impact of heavier kit on soft, damp soils. It is a requirement that has one of the farm’s three Puma 240 CVX’s put on 900/50 R42 rear tyres, leaving the standard 650/75 R38s until crops and field conditions dictate that wider boots are no longer practical.
