The HDX350 is a new plain mower from Samasz. Timmy O’Brien from Egmont Agri says this is a mower they have been waiting for as it is lighter than the XT.

Both are centre pivot mounted mowers that fold over-centre for transport, they even use the same 3.5m, eight disc cutterbar. The big difference is in the headstock, with the HDX being much lighter and using a different hydraulic system.

This weight saving also saves on cost, which is another appal of the new mower addition. There will be the option of adding a counterbalance weight to the left side. When the mower is folded this also comes in closer to the tractor to keep a more even load on the tractor’s lift arms.

Timmy adds that there will be a limited number of the HDX mowers available for the 2026 season and he hopes to have a unit in Ireland.
