Chinese manufacturer Xuzhou Kaier Agricultural Equipment Co (Xuzhou Kaier) has added a 400hp tractor to the top end of its XZF range.
Sitting above the current XZF3804 (380hp), the 11-litre engine in the Xuzhou KR XZF4004 is mated to a fully synchronised 16f x 16r transmission. Maximum lift capacity of the electronically controlled rear linkage is 8.8t. The fuel tank holds 760l, and top speed of the nearly 15t tractor is 32km/hr.
Operator comfort clearly played an important role in developing the new model. There is aircon in the cab, an air suspended seat and Bluetooth radio. Led lights are standard. It remains to be seen if the Chinese tractor will ever be available outside of Asia.
Located at Xuzhou city in the east of the country, Xuzhou Kaier also makes two articulated tractors, the 3604 (360hp) and 4404 (440hp).
