Continental is supporting its agricultural tyres with a new 10-year warranty on all ranges made at its manufacturing plant in Lousado, Portugal.

Covering the likely causes of damage from material and manufacturing defects to stubble and field hazard damage, the warranty is applicable on all tyres produced since production started at the Portuguese facility on August 1, 2017.

This includes the TractorMaster and CombineMaster, Tractor70 and Tractor85. It is also applicable to the VF (Very High Flexion) TractorMaster hybrid, VF TractorMaster and VF CombineMaster, that will be launched in 2020.

“Modern farming techniques demand that tyres are hard wearing, and farmers can’t afford to lose time through tyres failing,” says sales manager Richard Hutchins of Continental UK.

Continental has spent €2.5 million is a purpose-built R&D unit and evaluation centre for agricultural tyres at Lousado. “Our new range of agricultural tyres has been tested to much higher tolerances than ever before and we are confident to support this by offering our customers a warranty,” adds Mr Hutchins.

“We hope that this warranty shows farmers that we believe in that research and that we are willing to help buyers if a tyre does not perform the way they need it to.”
