Pöttinger demonstrated the new 4m model of the trailed Novacat mower at a field event in Austria last week.
North America and some other export markets have asked for a 4m version of the trailed 3.0m and 3.5m Novacat T for some time, and it is thought that the new wider width with central drawbar could also appeal to the Irish market.
All models are available with tine or the latest generation of roller conditioners, which use a swivel gearbox to drive both rollers in sync (belt speed is adjusted from the cab). On all three versions, power is transmitted from the cutterbar gearbox to the conditioner by V-belts with a spring-loaded tensioner. A new option on the Novacat T is hydraulic cut height adjustment from the cab (standard is mechanical).
