Claas has added five new tedders to its Volto range; the 700, 800, 900, 1100 and 1100T. Working widths are 6.6m, 7.7m, 8.7m, and 10.8m, respectively.
Positioned below the existing 2014-launched 1300/1300TS and 1500/1500TS with which the newcomers share much of their technical spec, rotor diameter is 1.5m and there are six tine arms (800 1.7m/seven tine arms).
There is a new rotor wheel mounting with a reinforced rotor shaft, and three spreading angles: 12, 16 and 18 (new) degrees. Spreading angle can be adjusted without tools using a simple spring-loaded pin on the rotors. A hydraulically operated edge-cutting crop guard is available as an option for boundary spreading.

The spec also includes new LED lighting, and the new frame on mounted models reduces the lifting force required and keeps the centre of gravity close to the tractor. This allows the new rakes to be run behind a four-pot tractor, although Claas says some front ballast might be needed.
No terminal is required to operate them, and a single double-acting (Volto 700 single acting) spool is sufficient. An additional single-acting supply is required for optional equipment such as the hydraulic boundary spreader.
All five models fold to a transport width of 3.0m.
