Dutch manufacturer Trioliet says the compact dimensions of its Triotrac M1-1400 (single vertical auger/14.0m³capacity) self-propelled mixer wagon is ideal for low buildings and tight yards.

The new baby in the Triotrac range shares its cab the existing twin-auger (17.0m³, 20.0m³ and 24.0m³) models, and power comes from the same four-pot 175hp JCB Stage IV block as the larger machines.

It is in the silage clamp cutting and loading department that the  newcomer differs to the twin-auger models where the intake elevator has been replaced by a hydraulically-powered rotor at the end of the loading arm.

Reaching to a maximum height of 4.5m, silage drops onto the intake platform from where it is fed into the 14.0m³ capacity mixing tub by a full-width four-bladed rotor (max. speed 30rpm). The same intake mechanism allows the Triotrac M to process round or square bales, loose by-products, minerals, fodder beet and potatoes.

Rotating at a maximum speed of 30rpm, the four-bladed rotor feeds silage into the 14.0m³ capacity mixing tub.

Discharge options include doors on both sides (ZK) and a rear cross conveyor belt (AL). The latter increases the length of the machine from 7.29m to 8.03m.

Both AL and ZK versions are 2.80m high. The AL is 2.55m wide (ZK 2.77m). Maximum speed around the yard is 20km/hr. Top speed on the road is 35km/hr. Standard equipment includes a built-it weighing system and rear wheel steering. The optional 4ws reduces the turning to 10.5m.

Replacing the self-propelled Smartrac, the Triotrac Ms, which cost around €179.000, will be available mid-2021 in the Netherlands, Germany and France. The first models are expected in the UK sometime early 2022.
