The appointment of LH Agro as the sole official UK distributor of Topcon Agriculture precision farming equipment (effective April 1) coincides with the launch of the X23, an entry-level touchscreen control console. Complementing the existing X-Series range, the X23, uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen and boasts a bright display that the company says can be viewed in direct sunlight.

In common with the wider X-Series range, the X23 runs Topcon’s Horizon software – a simple and easy-to-use icon-based operating system, which allows operators to create bespoke, user-defined screens. LH Agro says it is easy to set-up on a range of farm equipment including all makes of tractors, sprayers and combine harvesters. In its standard configuration, the X23 features manual guidance, but this can be unlocked to offer auto-steer, application control, auto-section control and variable rate control. It can also be configured to work with all ISOBUS-enabled machines and implements.

“The X23 is an ideal entry-level product for farmers who need a precision farming system capable of operating a variety of implements and want to maximise the return on their investment,” explains managing director Richard Reed of LH Agro.
